Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: December 8, 2025
Important Notice
We carefully screen all potential adopters to ensure our kittens go to loving, permanent homes. Please read this policy thoroughly before placing a reservation.
Deposit Policy
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a kitten. This deposit secures your chosen kitten and takes them off the market for other potential buyers.
The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of $600. The remaining balance of $400 is due before your kitten is shipped or picked up.
Why Deposits Are Non-Refundable
When you place a deposit, we remove the kitten from availability and turn away other potential buyers. The non-refundable nature of the deposit protects us from last-minute cancellations and ensures serious commitment from adopters. We invest significant time, care, and resources into each kitten, and the deposit reflects that commitment.
Deposit Transfer
If circumstances change and you cannot adopt your reserved kitten, we may, at our discretion, allow you to transfer your deposit to a different available kitten or a future litter. This is handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us as soon as possible if your situation changes.
Refund Conditions
Full or partial refunds may be issued in the following situations:
- Kitten Unavailability: If we are unable to provide you with your reserved kitten due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, etc.), you will receive a full refund of all payments made, or you may choose to transfer your deposit to another kitten.
- Health Issues Upon Arrival: If your kitten is found to have a pre-existing health condition within 72 hours of arrival, as documented by a licensed veterinarian, we will work with you to resolve the situation per our Health Guarantee terms.
Health-Related Returns
Our Health Guarantee outlines our policy for health-related issues. In summary:
- Kittens must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival for the health guarantee to be valid.
- If a serious pre-existing condition is discovered, we offer a replacement kitten (shipping costs may apply) or veterinary cost assistance at our discretion.
- Genetic health issues diagnosed within one year are covered under our extended genetic guarantee.
Buyer's Remorse
We do not offer refunds for buyer's remorse, change of mind, or inability to care for the kitten after adoption. We strongly encourage you to thoroughly consider your decision before placing a reservation. Bringing a kitten into your home is a long-term commitment, and we are happy to answer any questions to help you make an informed decision.
Re-homing Situations
If you find yourself unable to care for your Maine Coon at any point in their life, please contact us before seeking to re-home them elsewhere. We are committed to the lifelong welfare of every kitten we place.
- We may be able to help you find a suitable new home through our network.
- In some cases, we may accept the kitten back into our care.
- We ask that you never surrender our kittens to shelters or rescue organizations.
Our Commitment to Kitten Welfare
The welfare of our kittens is our top priority. Every policy we have is designed to ensure our kittens go to loving, prepared homes where they will thrive. We believe in transparency and clear communication, and we are always available to discuss any concerns you may have before, during, or after the adoption process.
